Aromatherapy is the use of pure essential oils that have been extracted from the life force of plants, herbs, flowers and trees.  Each essential oil carries it's own unique therapeutic and healing properties that are utilized by qualified Practitioners to provide calm, balance and help rejuvenate Body, Mind and Spirit.

Aromatherapy and essential oils may be utilized and applied in various forms of treatment.  Baths, massage oils, inhalations, compresses and poultices are common and popular aromatherapy treatment applications. 

The wide range of physical and emotional symptoms that are improved with the use of pure essential oils and aromatherapy often surprises people.  However, in thinking back to days before the invention of penicillin and our modern day medicine, it was the natural healing force of plants, trees, herbs and flowers that was extracted and used in the prevention and healing of many diseases not to mention personal beauty regimes.

Aromatherapy should not be confused with fragrances or perfume oils.  Although many pure essential oils have a pleasant scent, fragrances are often man-made with chemicals and lack the therapeutic properties required for healing purposes.

At Healing Roots Wellness, our main focus and treatment style of Aromatherapy is applied through the body's largest organ, the skin. The essential oils utilized during your 'Aromatherapy Massage' are always blended specifically for you and will be based on your health history, your current health conditions as well as your health goals.  

The Aromatherapy Massage itself is therapeutic in nature helping a range of joint, muscle and skin conditions but it is also reported to be soothing and relaxing. 

While healing, deep relaxation and emotional balancing is immediately initiated as the essential oils are absorbed into the skin, the depth of specific massage techniques including deep tissue and trigger point work is left up to the judgment and preference of each client.
